My main research interest lies in understanding visuospatial thinking processes and human navigation behaviors. Using statistical modeling, I examine how multi-factors (from environmental factors to human factors) may play different and related roles in strategy choice for doing different spatial tasks, from mentally rotating 3D objects to finding a shortcut in virtual environments. These studies provide insights for future spatial thinking training, next generation of STEM education and GPS design.
